Scholarships

AAF ECI has offered college scholarships for more than 20 years to students majoring or minoring in advertising, marketing or a related area. Applications are usually due in March. The Education Committee is responsible for developing and implementing the scholarship policies, procedures, application process, and selection of the recipients.

2008-2009 Scholarship Recipients; Michael Hanley, BSU AAF faculty advisor; and Will Henderson, AAF ECI president. Michael accepted a $500 donation from AAF ECI for BSU Chapter for NSAC Competition expenses.

AAF East Central Indiana awards $500 to the BSU Chapter and provides three $1,000 scholarships annually from money raised at the December Media and Gift Auction. 

 

2010 Anne Condran AAF ECI Scholarship Recipient - Zachary Grimes, an advetising junior with a minor in sociology and marketing is awarded the 2010 Anne Condran AAF ECI Scholorship. He received five Gold ADDY Awards and the Student Best of Show in the AAF ECI Student ADDY Competition in 2009. He has been honored in 2008 by the Kroger Company as one of America’s most distinguished scholars. Zachary is the current secretary of  the American Advertising Federation Ball State University chapter and is actively involved in the 2009 NSAC Campaign.

2009 AAF ECI Minority Scholarship Catherine Brake, a marketing and fashion junior at Ball State University, is the recipient of the 2008, 2009 and 2010 AAF ECI Minority Scholarship. She has a 3.98 grade point average (out of 4.0), is Account Execuitve with Cardinal Communications and is a member of the American Advertising Federation Ball State University chapter. She has been recognized as one of the top scholars in the Marketing and Management Department at the Miller College of Business. She is also in the Honors College program. She hopes to become a marketing director for a Fortune 500 company and hopes to eventually open her own boutique

Catherine Brake

Elyse Van Fleet, is a visual communications and graphic designmajor at Ball State University with a 3.58 grade point average. Her minor is entrepreneurship. She is a member of the Ball State University chapter and serves as assistant creative director for the NSAC Campaign. Her design of the chapter logo won a Silver Student ADDY in 2008. After graduation in 2011 she hopes to work in the advertising field as a creative director.
